Hello! My name is Erica Haughton. I'm a mother and a Licensed Social Worker; two roles that I hold very dear to my heart, amongst others. Throughout my career, I have worked with children and families, older adults and individuals that are terminally ill. Both my personal as well as my professional experiences heavily influence the books that I have created and continue to create.
It is my hope that my stories will uplift children, especially during challenging moments in their lives. Various challenges experienced can cause children to feel alone, discouraged and with lessened self-confidence. Such challenges may include having a "disability," that may impact them physically, intellectually or emotionally; losing a loved one; feeling inferior due to outward appearance; having difficulty making friends, and so on. It is so important to travel through life, genuinely, accepting who they are, as they are.
Books can open doors to overcoming and healing!
